6x useful SEO tools for optimizing websites

At FindFactory, we love search engine optimization, also known as Search Engine Optimization. To get the most out of our clients' websites and web shops, we use a number of efficient analysis tools. Do you also want to get involved with SEO? Then be sure to delve into these 6 online tools.

SEMrush

Not a day goes by that our marketers don't use SEMrush. That says it all, right? This program provides you with comprehensive website analysis, SEO keyword research and backlinks analysis, among other things.

Fun fact: you can also view interesting statistics about competitors' websites. For example, with SEMrush you can find out which words competitors are performing worst and best on. Also, SEMrush tracks competitors' ads in Google.

Ahrefs

Analyzing your website has never been more interesting. Ahrefs ' main focus is analyzing backlinks. After Google's crawlbot, Ahrefs' is the most active. This guarantees that all information is as up-to-date as possible.

With Ahrefs, it becomes easy to find relevant keywords, track problems and see the organic positions of your web pages. And again, you can largely measure the progress of your competitors.

Moz

Compared to the first two tools, the features are a bit more limited. On the other hand, this means that Moz is very user-friendly for anyone just starting out with SEO. It is a handy tool that helps you perform keyword research. We are also fans of the option to test links and backlinks.

Screaming Frog

We know what you're thinking-we didn't come up with this name either. Despite that, Screaming Frog is also among our favorite SEO tools. Why? Because the tool is able to scan your website for errors. Think 404 errors, unnecessary redirects and missing content.

One big advantage is that there is a free version available. Admittedly with fewer features than the paid version, but still nice if you want to try it out once. Especially for small websites, a free account is often enough, as it allows you to have 500 URLs (!) scanned.

Hotjar

Hotjar is a well-known analytics tool that puts more emphasis on CRO, but nevertheless has earned a spot in this list. With this tool, you get more insight into the behavior of website visitors. There are many useful features in the program, one of our favorites being the heatmaps. This is ideal because you get the chance to track web visitors' mouse movements.

This way, you can immediately see which links and buttons are clicked the most and it becomes clear what visitors are up against. For example, when they are about to checkout. When you combine the data from Hotjar with Google Analytics, you get a good picture of your website visitors.

Google Search Console

How is your website doing? Google Search Console can give you an answer to that. This free service from - you guessed it - Google, provides insight into your website's search engine results. This tells you exactly how Google indexes your web pages. It is also possible to detect errors on your website. We regularly dive into Google Search Console to put our website under the microscope.
